I have said, I live in the desert. A place most people consider harsh, inhospitable and desolate. A place that is drab and colourless nothing but sand dirt and rock. I've have been to the east and land of trees, too green. I have been to the islands of the pacific, too blue. Then I'm told I have no eye for colour, no love of colour.

Yet there is colour in the desert waiting to be captured by the eye. Subtle colour quiet colour, so quiet you have to look twice...



or it will bite you.

colors of sand, rocks, earth, they are beautiful. colors are everywhere, everything is colors. the kitchen visitor -photo is very nice.

in the desert, colours are magnified by the muted colors of the sand....so whoever's been bugging you about it....tell them to shut their faces :-P

Seriously! I'm originally from the southwest US, so I know all about this. I still think desert colors and landscapes are the most beautiful out there, I miss em.

tell them to go to the grand canyon. no color? pffffft.

you should do a whole blog post on the colours of your desert.
