Take a look at the Adobe AIR marketplace site. I think you may find what you seek there. Adobe AIR and, so far, all things in the marketplace are FREEWARE.

You can request invites to ffffound and other beta web 2.0 communities. Once you get an invite, you are expected to share them with more people at mashable...and so on. Its quite an interesting list of communities they have there.
