A fun book on color!!! It kind of looks like this website, but in book form. It has lots of color palettes divided by type of color, patterns, and suggestions for logo color combos. Best gift I've gotten in a long time :D Here's the link to it on Amazon if anyone's curious!

The Color Index is is a great book, especially for the price, and a good coupling with this site as it does show examples. It makes a nice gift.
I know Darius is not going to install his own new generation supercomputing server until next year so this site cannot have everything we all want until then. It would be fun to have some simulators at some point. There are some in Color Impact but they are probably the one thing about the program I am not totally wild about. Color Impact The Urbana Free Library has a color lover hiding somewhere in the place because it seems to buy a steady stream of color and design books. I found A Dictionary of Colour: A Lexicon of the Language of Colour there and give it often as a gift. People seem to like it. A Dictionary of Colour ![]() ![]() ![]() stephy stephy wrote: 1 Week Ago
All of Krause's Index books are pretty awesome; when I'm braindead and working on some project, I flip through them and get a ton of ideas.
And Chicago's got all sorts of fun stuff! ![]() ![]() ![]() lizcrimso… lizcrimson wrote: 1 Week Ago
I have some "sister" books: Design Index and Idea Index. All great ones.
Here's another great book on color my sister got me for my birthday: Living Colors ![]() Please Log In to Add a Comment ![]() |
