So I downloaded the zip file for a few pattens. How do I use them? When I open the AI in illistrator, I get an empty white rectange. The PS file is a colour swatch, which isnt a patten (Obviously ;) ). How can I use these pattens?   klip klip wrote: 4 Apr, 2008
When you download a pattern, you are actually only downloading the palette that was used for creating the pattern. You cannot download the vector version of the pattern. However, you can download a raster pattern "tile" by right clicking (or ctrl clicking if you are using a mac) on the pattern pre-view, and choosing "view background image". You can then save the image that appears in the browser.
P.S. To see the palette you have downloaded in illustrator, look in the swatches palette.   |
