For The Men: Oh the men. Us ladies can all agree for shopping for men isn't the easiest of tasks. So here are a few colorful and unique items that will get them excited. Let's highlight "The Present" a brand new clock that takes a full year to complete. The purpose and thought behind this idea is very interesting and worth checking out. Other items include a Tattly box, filled with faux tattoos, and a Tokyo Flash watch. It is worth giving honorable mention to a gift that is just as awesome, but a little different. Last but not least are a pair of sparkly shoe clips that she can add to any pair of shoes to give it that extra special something.
1. Headband, 2. Bracelets, 3. Bando Shoe Clips
The Tech Snob: Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. There's always that one person on your list who has to get anything techy the moment it becomes available. So what does someone like this always need? Something to organize, show off and/or protect their investments.

If you'd like to be considered in the selection please try to find (and link / place picture) something in addition to what you love in the post. We LOVE hearing what you loved within the post but were looking for outside inspiration as well. :)
Even, for example, @warriorliz, you could post one of the other bowls featured on anthropologie page.
Hope that helps and is clear for you two and everyone else placing submissions.
Have fun! Excited to see what kind of things COLOURlovers find out there. Loving the FASHIONARY SIBLING @Dupsie - and quite colorful!

Wasn't really trying to enter the contest, just perusing the lovely items.
But. . .
My ideal present would be 100% linen embroidery floss for a project I have really been wanting to work on, but haven't gotten the supplies for yet (translation: spending my money on groceries, instead of YET ANOTHER crafty project. But I gotta feed my addiction somehow. lol).
mollybermea
Ohhhh I adore stitching floss. Would love to see your project idea. :)

But with less birds : ) It would be of my own design. I really like embroidery, but I don't get to do it much.

I also would really like a new backpack, like this one:

I've never painted before (besides finger painting as a kid, and maybe some paint by numbers stuff...) and I would love to get into that. Right now, I concentrate a lot of my time on photography and web design work, so it would be a nice change of pace to move along to something that I can express my own personal thoughts and feelings into, more so than I can with traditional "work" related tasks.

Oils might be your first choice because they take longer to dry. I personally like an oil paint that uses Walnut Oil instead of Linseed Oil (fumes and texture-spreadability). Make sure you get the corresponding thinner with whatever paint you use though. aka. Walnut Oil should be used with Walnut Oil, not Linseed.
Anyway.... my last suggestion would also to be to get some hand me down latex paint mixed with some cheap tempra paints and a large canvas, maybe a 4'x4' to have some fun with and experiment. Never constrict yourself to a tiny canvas, unless you can't handle a big space. :) It's really enlivening to use house paint brushes and latex paint to just create! Big sweeping movements, etc. for background and then go in with some more detail art as an overlay.
Okay, I'm getting carried away. Can you tell LOOOOVE to paint? :)

I guess I'm really a tech snob since I really NEED one of those SHOWWX+ things. Now. I didn't know they existed before.
And I suppose I need an elf coat now, too, but it would need to be in more than one color, but mostly greens and purples. That's just amazing.
A friend of mine has recently discovered her creative abilities and I'm now a huge fan. She is doing mixed media work (I had never heard of alcohol inks before) and I find myself wishing for every single page in her art journal. I'm hoping she makes prints and this one would be on my wish list in a heartbeat:

(@Penina - those bowls are amazing!)
Hmm.... There are more colourful things out there, but something I have always wanted is this Tibor Kalman umbrella from the Museum of Modern Art:
It would bring such a welcome pop of colour to those rainy, grey days. :)
Here is a purchase link.
