Restless
2010 was for many a year of both tumult and stasis. This red represents the state of uncertainty that many of us felt this year. The economy, the political landscape, and even interpersonal social relationships all seemed to roil in turmoil, yet in many ways not much changed. The Republican Party won big in America, but not as big as it had hoped. A rash of suicides among gay teens prompted prominent figures to proclaim that "It Gets Better!" The economy continued to wallow in self-pity... but the Giants actually managed to win a World Series. So it wasn't all bad.
