When I was 11, I begged my parents in tears, to cancel a very important flight. The plane nose-dived into a river in Sumatra, just as I dreamt it.

Waiting for a late bus on a humid Chicago summer I was standing alone in front of an old building when I heard a whisper, “a couple of steps back, now.”
So I did, and right then a gargoyle & arrow-shaped black iron grates landed right where I was standing.
