Inspired by this post I went looking for other examples of Russian color & design and came across this site.

Yes, it was great art style! Sometimes I see something like that in different places. Mostly in small towns, where life goes by not so fast. But especially it was impressive in 1970's - on streets and squares - 10 meters tall and even higher!
