Finishing up this weekend is the 2009 Berlin Festival of Lights: "For the fifth year in a row Berlin will sparkle as a range of illuminations and projections light up more than 50 famous landmarks and spaces, including Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral and the radio tower. For the first time, the landmark Europa-Center, as well as Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the west of the city will be illuminated."

Looks amazing in the photos, must be awe inspiring being up there close and personal. I wish I was there!

Cool, I would love to take a walk in Berlin during the festival. What really catches my eye, is that the colors and shades change the constructed appearance of the buildings, creating really neat optical illusions. For instance, in the seventh image; the Berliner Dom looks like it has holes in it.
