As always, great color roundup.

Joshua Nimoy's project reminds me of a funny side-project by two Johns Hopkins astronomers a few years ago, to determine the average color of the universe. They were surveying thousands of stars for their colors (in which color provides a tipoff to the stars' ages), and they calculated the basic color of the universe at a whim on that data. The oddest part was, they didn't get the calculations right, so first they thought the universe was turquoise, but later had to correct themselves. Turns out the universe is actually beige, or "Cosmic Latte" as the astronomers named it.
