Color In Nature: Grasslands

Grasslands are areas where the vegetation is dominated by grasses (Poaceae) and other herbaceous (non-woody) plants (forbs). They occur naturally on all continents except Antarctica, and cover nearly fifty percent of the land surface of the continent of Africa.

Is it just me or does that horse look like it's struggling and overweight...

that horse is TOTALLY overweight, i was just going to mention fat horse is pretty fat, actually.

anyways: i miss california, as when you go driving from SF to Walnut Creek, closer to the Creek you drive thru San Ramon Valley, and the freeway is literally on the valley itself; left and right all there is is grass and hills and the occasional cow. it's really pretty, especially when it's kind of foggy, when you can just see the tips of the hills and the trees.

The Earth's varied landscapes are truly fascinating. Where I live, we may have an occasional meadow, but no true grasslands. Any patch of grass that's not mowed regularly eventually becomes wooded.
