The Colors Of Dust: Paul Chisholm

The Colors Of Dust: Paul Chisholm

For 25 years Paul Chisholm has been traveling around the world to see all the great historic and ecological landmarks that make this world beautiful, and taking dust from them.

"What society perceives to be unclean and to be swept away, I preserve and present as tender and beautiful."

With a collection of 350 samples, Paul uses them to create his works of landscapes and specimen paintings of the dust itself. "By using a hi-tech microscope Paul uncovers the hidden intricacies of his collected samples. He then paints the abstracted, enlarged forms and exhibits his work either as paintings or prints."

Unfortunately, it seems Paul doesn't even leave as much as a trail of dust behind himself as the two websites: masterduster.co.uk and paulchisholm.eu, that are supposedly associated with the artist are dead. So enjoy these few images I was able to round up, along with this article and video from the BBC.
